La Cola Nostra


 

This cocktail recipe is absolutely fantastic. I wish I knew who was behind this drink creation, but it’s a throwback from our cocktail list at the bar I used to work at back in the day. A fun take on a cola with some wonderful spice elements and prosecco topper. Highly recommend giving this wonder a go. You won’t be disappointed.

LA COLA NOSTRA
1.5 oz Zacapa Rum
0.75 oz Averna
0.5 oz Lime Juice
0.5 oz Simple Syrup (I subbed in Demerara Syrup here)
0.25 oz St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
1-2 oz Prosecco

Combine all ingredients (excluding the Prosecco) into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously to chill. Strain into a double rocks glass over fresh ice. Top with Prosecco. Garnish with a lime wheel.
