Magical Mystery Kind Of Love.
Magical Mystery Kind Of Love.
I haven’t figured out if my neighbors hate me or love me yet. Because when I'm crafting up cocktails, two things tend to happen: 1. I open my balcony door and 2. I blast music–like it's my duty to throw beats into the air of Oakland with full force. I'm hoping that people who see this random chick dancing like a weirdo and running back and forth from inside to outside with a cocktail and camera in hand is (at least a little bit) entertaining to them. But they could also find my music selection loudly too repetitive and my ruckus in general, slightly irritating. I mean, I'm not going to inquire further on my popularity with my surrounding neighbors, I'm just...letting you all know. For the 'what the hell' of it all. Anyway. Onto what I'm actually drinking today.
"Magical Mystery Kind of Love." This cocktail made itself for me. Two bottles sitting at my bar looked over at me and were like, "I bet we taste good together." And they were right, it was like magic. This libation was so simple and felt so right. It just let me live in the moment–a very free, warm, loving, open, uplifting–moment. This is the kind of drink I have in hand when I'm with my best friends, sitting in the sun with funky shades on, and singing along to whatever's playing the best–and strangest way–we can.
Made with–you guessed it–my favorite silver cachaça by Novo Fogo, Tippleman's scrumptious Double Spiced Falernum, and a little bit of lime. (Oh, and a little bit of love).)
Let's concoct:
- 2 oz Novo Fogo's Silver Cachaça
- 1 oz Tippleman's Double Spiced Falernum
- 0.25 oz Lime
*Shake all ingredients vigorously with ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh crushed ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
