The Gentlemen


 

I am constantly scribbling down recipes that I find and hear about. The amount of drinks I want to try is endless. And because of my ever-growing list, finding the windows to make them all is stretched over time. But anywaaay, finally made this spirit-forward beauty–a recipe noted in an Imbibe issue of summer 2023, in a section discussing génépy liqueur cocktails. And well, I very much enjoyed this mix and thought you should too:

THE GENTLEMEN
1.5 oz Bourbon
0.5 oz Lillet Blanc
0.5 oz Génépy (I used Heirloom here)
2 Dashes of Peychaud’s Bitters

Combine all into a mixing glass. Add ice and stir to chill. Strain into a rocks glass over a fresh large ice cube. Garnish with an orange twist.
